Welcome to Gulmarg Ski School. By booking or using any of our skiing, snowboarding, trekking, equipment rental, training, or other adventure services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking and Payments

By making a booking with Gulmarg Ski School, you confirm that the information provided by you is accurate and complete.

A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm and secure your booking. Your booking will be considered confirmed only after the required payment has been received and confirmation has been provided by Gulmarg Ski School.

Prices may vary depending on the selected package, service, season, availability, and other applicable factors.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on the service or package booked.

If you need to cancel or modify your booking, please contact Gulmarg Ski School as early as possible.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed according to the cancellation terms applicable to your booking. Any payment processing charges, transaction fees, or non-refundable charges may be deducted from the refundable amount.

Certain bookings, services, permits, tickets, or third-party arrangements may be non-refundable.

3. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change the booking date, participants, package, or services are subject to availability.

Additional charges may apply if the requested change results in a higher booking cost.

Gulmarg Ski School reserves the right to decline a requested change where it is not possible due to availability, weather, operational requirements, or other circumstances.

4. Safety and Adventure Activities

Skiing, snowboarding, trekking, snow activities, and other mountain adventures involve inherent risks.

Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by Gulmarg Ski School, instructors, guides, and other authorized personnel.

Participants are responsible for informing Gulmarg Ski School about any relevant physical limitations, injuries, or other conditions that may affect their ability to safely participate in an activity.

Gulmarg Ski School is not responsible for injuries, losses, or accidents arising from failure to follow safety instructions, misuse of equipment, unauthorized activities, or risks naturally associated with mountain and adventure activities.

5. Weather and Mountain Conditions

Mountain weather and snow conditions can change quickly and may affect the operation of activities.

Gulmarg Ski School may modify, postpone, reschedule, or cancel an activity when weather, snow conditions, visibility, safety concerns, government restrictions, or other mountain conditions make the activity unsafe or impractical.

Safety will always take priority over the planned itinerary or activity schedule.

6. Equipment Rental

Any skiing, snowboarding, or other equipment provided by Gulmarg Ski School must be used responsibly and only for its intended purpose.

Participants and renters are responsible for the equipment while it is in their possession.

Damage caused by misuse, negligence, intentional actions, or use outside the intended purpose may result in additional charges.

Equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was provided, excluding normal wear and tear.

7. Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings during tours, activities, training sessions, and equipment rentals.

Gulmarg Ski School is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings unless otherwise required by applicable law.

8. Participant Responsibilities

Participants must:

• Follow all instructions provided by instructors and guides.
• Use equipment properly and responsibly.
• Follow applicable safety rules and local regulations.
• Respect other participants, instructors, guides, staff, and local communities.
• Inform the Gulmarg Ski School team of any relevant information that may affect safe participation.
• Avoid participating in activities while under the influence of alcohol or any substance that may affect judgment or coordination.

Gulmarg Ski School may refuse participation or remove a participant from an activity if their behavior creates a safety risk for themselves, staff, guides, or other participants.

9. Children and Minors

Children and minors must participate only in activities suitable for their age and ability.

A parent or legal guardian may be required to provide consent and remain responsible for the minor during the activity, where applicable.

Gulmarg Ski School may refuse participation where appropriate safety requirements cannot be met.

10. Itinerary and Service Changes

The actual timing, route, activity duration, and itinerary may change due to weather, snow conditions, safety requirements, local conditions, operational reasons, government instructions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Gulmarg Ski School will make reasonable efforts to provide the booked services or a suitable alternative where possible.

11. Force Majeure

Gulmarg Ski School will not be responsible for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include severe weather, heavy snowfall, natural disasters, road closures, government restrictions, strikes, transportation disruptions, emergencies, or other unforeseen events.

12. Third-Party Services

Some services may involve third-party providers, including transportation providers, accommodation providers, activity operators, ticketing services, or other external service providers.

Where third-party services are involved, their respective terms and conditions may also apply.

13. Photography and Media

Gulmarg Ski School may take photographs or videos during activities for operational, promotional, or marketing purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes, please inform our team before the activity.

14. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date.

However, prices, availability, schedules, routes, activity details, and other information may change without prior notice due to operational, seasonal, weather, or other circumstances.

Website content should not be considered a guarantee of availability or a guarantee that an activity will operate under specific conditions.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of India and the applicable laws and regulations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over the matter.
